Our Capalaba Showroom Has Had a Proper Upgrade

Our office at 73-75 Steel Street, Capalaba is where most of the design conversations happen for our pool builds. Until recently, the showroom was a fairly minimal space — a meeting table, some sample tiles, a few brochures.

We've spent the last few months upgrading it into a proper design showroom. The goal: give clients a much more useful experience when they come in to choose finishes, see samples, and visualise their build.

What's new in the showroom

Three main additions.

1. Pebble-crete sample wall. All eight standard pebble-crete colour options now mounted at full scale (1m × 1m panels), with a small water bowl in front of each so you can see how the colour reads when wet versus dry. The difference matters — some colours that look great dry can look dull when wet, and vice versa.

2. Coping and surround sample station. Travertine, bluestone, porcelain pavers, and concrete pavers — all our common coping and surround options — laid out at scale on a small mock pool edge. You can stand on them, see how they look in combination, feel the texture.

3. Equipment display. Real Zodiac equipment on display — the variable-speed pump, the cartridge filter housing, the salt chlorinator with its control panel. You can see what's actually going in your equipment shed, hear how quiet the pump is on low speed, understand what the chlorinator readout shows.

What it changes

Before the showroom upgrade, design conversations were often: 'here's a small sample tile, here's a brochure photo, hopefully you can imagine it'. Now they're: 'walk over here, here's the actual finish at full scale, here's how it looks wet, here's the coping next to it'.

The decisions clients make in the new showroom are noticeably more confident. They leave knowing what they're getting, rather than hoping the actual pool will look like the picture.

Visiting

The showroom is open during business hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. You don't need an appointment to come in and look at samples — just drop by. If you want to sit down with Mike or Cathy specifically, give us a call to book.

If you're at the design stage of your build, we'd encourage you to come in twice. Once early in the process to look at all the options without pressure. Again later, once you've narrowed it down, for the final selection conversation.

Other new things

While we're talking about the office, a couple of other small upgrades:

• A small client waiting area with proper seating and good coffee
• A meeting room for site plans and architectural discussions
• Better signage from the road — you can actually find us now

None of these are revolutionary, but they all make the experience of working with us a bit smoother.
