Wahoo Renews Zodiac & Waterco Dealer Partnerships for 2026
Cathy DillonWe're pleased to share that we've renewed our authorised dealer partnerships with both Zodiac and Waterco for 2026 — another year as an accredited dealer for two of Australia's leading pool equipment brands.
This isn't a marketing badge. It's a working relationship that affects what equipment your pool gets, how warranty claims are handled, and what level of service backup you have over the life of the pool.
What authorised dealer status means
Zodiac and Waterco both accredit the builders who install their equipment. Becoming — and staying — an authorised dealer for either brand requires:
- Minimum annual installation volume
- Trained technicians on staff (Travis is manufacturer-certified)
- Demonstrated installation quality across audits
- Customer satisfaction metrics maintained
- Service infrastructure (we hold spares, we can do on-site service)
Maintaining authorised dealer status year on year is an ongoing requirement, not a one-time qualification. Both manufacturers audit, and dealers who don't maintain standards lose their accreditation.
What this means for Wahoo clients
Three practical benefits.
1. Extended warranty. Standard equipment warranty is 1-3 years on most items. As an authorised dealer, our clients get extended warranties up to 10 years on pumps, filters, and chlorinators — backed jointly by the manufacturer and Wahoo.
2. Faster service response. Authorised dealers have direct access to the manufacturers' service desks and parts. When you have an equipment issue, we can usually source replacement parts within 24-48 hours rather than the 5-10 days typical of standard channels.
3. Proper diagnosis and repair. Travis is manufacturer-certified on the equipment we install. He has access to the same diagnostic tools the factory uses. Misdiagnosis of equipment faults is one of the most common reasons clients spend money unnecessarily on pool service — we eliminate that risk for our clients.
Why Zodiac and Waterco
We get asked this regularly. There are other respectable pool equipment brands — Pentair, Hayward, Davey — and good arguments for each.
We build around Zodiac and Waterco for three reasons:
- The variable-speed pump range is genuinely industry-leading for energy efficiency
- The salt chlorinator self-clean function works reliably (some competitors' don't)
- The extended warranty for authorised dealer clients gives clients real long-term certainty
We stick with them because they keep delivering. We're not paid for this loyalty — we choose this equipment because it's genuinely what we'd put in our own pools.
What it means for the industry
Honestly, the authorised dealer system pushes pool builders to take equipment seriously. Builders who buy whatever's on special each month tend to install equipment they don't fully understand, which means they can't service it well when it goes wrong.
An authorised dealer commitment means we know the equipment we install inside and out. Every pump speed setting, every chlorinator error code, every filter housing variant. When you ring us with an issue, we know what we're talking about.
What's covered in your pool's warranty
If you're a Wahoo client built recently, your equipment warranty covers:
- Pump (10 years on motor and main components)
- Filter housing (10 years against manufacturing defects)
- Salt chlorinator electronics (10 years on power supply and control board)
- LED lights (5 years on LED units)
Plus consumables (cartridge filter elements, salt cell plates) at standard manufacturer terms (typically 12-24 months).
The structural warranty on the pool shell itself is 10 years, backed by Wahoo directly.
If you have an equipment question
Ring the office. 1300 924 666. Cathy will hand you over to Travis if it's technical. Most things are resolved on the phone in 5-10 minutes.
If we need to come on site, we'll book it within a week (usually faster). Service callouts under warranty are free of charge.
If you're considering a build and want to know more about the Zodiac and Waterco equipment we install, come and chat.
