Victoria Point Pool Builder — Family Bayside, Koala Habitat, Builds Done Right
Victoria Point is one of the fastest-growing bayside suburbs in Redland — family neighbourhoods, decent block sizes (500–800m² typical), and the bay close enough to feel coastal but far enough that the marine corrosion factor is lighter than in Cleveland. The big planning consideration here is koala habitat: roughly a third of Victoria Point blocks fall within the koala habitat overlay, which regulates tree removal.
The overlay sounds intimidating but it's not a deal-breaker for pool builds. In most cases we can position the pool to keep every habitat tree. We handle the council submission and any ecological assessment if needed. Most Victoria Point overlay sites get approved first time — it's about presenting the right paperwork the right way.
Soil is mostly sandy loam (we like that), access is usually decent, and Redland Council approvals run 2–4 weeks depending on overlay complexity.

Victoria Point Family Favourites
Family pool packages by Wahoo — the most-installed pool sizes across Brisbane and South-East Queensland family suburbs.
Wahoo's family pool range covers the three configurations that fit standard suburban blocks most comfortably. These are the workhorses of our 20-year build history — the packages most often chosen across Capalaba, Springwood, Camp Hill, North Lakes, Coomera, and the broad middle of suburban SEQ.
Recommended for these block sizes
Family Pools work best on blocks 500–800m² — standard suburban family blocks across most established Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, and Redland suburbs.

The most popular Wahoo configurations
Family I 6×4 is the single most-installed Wahoo package across our 20 years of building — the proportions work for the largest range of standard suburban blocks. Family II 7×3 is the lap-style alternative for clients who prioritise swim length over width. Standard 6×3 is our entry-tier family option for slightly smaller blocks or budgets.
Spa upgrade decision
Family I and Family II both support the integrated 2×2 spa upgrade ($11,890), bringing the package to $56,790. Roughly one-third of family-package clients add the spa — it lifts the build from a summer-pool into a year-round outdoor living asset, particularly valuable for clients who entertain or want hydrotherapy access. Standard 6×3 does not include the spa option due to design proportions.

★★★★★ VICTORIA POINT
“Koala habitat had us nervous. Two builders said too hard. Mike sketched a placement that kept every tree.”
“The overlay flagged eight habitat trees on our 700m² block. Two pool companies told us to expect $5K+ in ecology reports and probably a refusal. Mike walked the block for twenty minutes, marked out a Resort Pool I placement that kept all eight trees and didn't need an ecological assessment at all. Submission to Redland, approved in 18 days. We swim every weekend now.”
